The different colors of this mat represent the pitching areas. The red is a "No zone". You do not want to pitch in this area. The yellow is a "caution zone" You can pitch in this area but do it with care. These pitches are better then the red but not near as good as the pitches in the green area. The green is pitching area of choice. This zone extends two inches on the plate and two inches off the place. This is a perfect targer and if you can hit the corners you can run the game. The white is an extra zone. Sometimes if you are hitting the green areas, or corners, the entire game try to push it a little further, this will make the ball even harder to be hit by the batter. This is the most portable pitching mat on the market. When your done roll it up or fold it to fit into the most convenient place for you.
